Men's suits come in letter sizes, and the short and tall cuts (MS, MT, LT, XLS) change the body length, not the girth: a tall surfer of medium build takes an MT rather than an L, so the suit fits at the chest without folds at the knees. Women's suits use US dress sizes, 2 to 16, with the UK number two higher, and the same S and T cuts on some lines. Kids' sizes run by age, with T sizes for toddlers. Fit beats thickness: a suit should be snug with no gap at the neck, wrists or lower back and no fold behind the knee. When you are between sizes, the brand's chart on the store page decides by height and weight; the sizing guide has the rules.
